In 2021, I joined a Venture Studio to lead the brand creative team to incubate a series of startups from initial concept discovery to finding product-market fit.
As one of my first projects, I was tasked with rebranding the firm from “Modern Ventures” to “Cold Start Ventures.” Our internal team developed the brand concept and delivered all touchpoints to reflect the studio’s sensibility and core strategy.

The brand needed to resolve a core tension. On one side, it had to appeal to entrepreneurial talent driven by innovation and momentum. On the other, it needed to convey credibility to discerning partners operating in complex, people-focused industries.
Our strategy was anchored in the idea of a future that feels familiar. The identity would signal progress without losing trust, drawing from the language of innovation while staying grounded in empathy, clarity, and intention.
Creative Direction
We developed a brand identity that embraced the duality uncovered through research. Every visual and verbal choice was rooted in this tension, striking a balance between future-forward energy and grounded credibility.
The result is a brand that feels both fresh and enduring. Confident without being loud. Optimistic, yet grounded. Designed to resonate with those building what’s next, and those supporting it.
